The Florida Historical Society has an extensive honors program recognizing significant contributions to knowledge of our state. The University Press of Florida congratulates the six authors of the three books recognized for their exceptional talent for the work to create books of lasting importance to the state.
HISTORIC PENSACOLA by John J. Clune and Margo S. Stringfield has been selected to receive the 2010 Charlton Tebeau Award for a general interest book on a Florida history topic.
DITCH OF DREAMS by Steven Noll and David Tegeder has been selected to receive the 2010 Rembert Patrick Award for a scholarly book on a Florida history topic.
PAVING PARADISE by Craig Pittman and Matthew Waite has been selected to receive the 2010 Stetson Kennedy Award for a book based on investigative research which casts light on historic Florida events in a manner that is supportive of human rights, traditional cultures, or the natural environment.
