We had a fantastic time last week at the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance 2015 Discovery Show. SIBA celebrated its 40th birthday this year with lots of author signings, informative panels, photo booth fun, and special events. Our tables in the exhibit hall were piled high with new University Press of Florida books, and we loved spending time chatting with indie booksellers from across the South. Five of our authors traveled to the show to share their new books with conference attendees. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello and to meet our authors!
The SIBA Sunday breakfast was delicious, featuring biscuits and sorghum butter from Sorghum’s Savor and cheddar grits from Pickled, Fried, and Fresh: Bert Gill’s Southern Flavors. Five UPF authors spoke about their new books, taking attendees on a journey to the South and beyond.
