UPF authors had an exciting and busy year of book events in 2015. We’ve gathered some photos from their talks and book signings throughout Florida and the United States. We are so grateful to all the venues that hosted UPF authors and we hope to have the opportunity to see even more readers at our events this year!

Lyn Millner had a spectacular standing-room-only book launch for The Allure of Immortality at Florida Gulf Coast University in October.

She also visited Lemuria Books, a bookstore she visited regularly as a child. She was kept very busy signing copies of her book!

In November, Elsbeth “Buff” Gordon presented her book Walking St. Augustine at a “Meet the Author” event with the Ocala Friends of the Library.

Leslee Keys attended the Florida Heritage Book Festival as part of the St. Augustine 450th Birthday Celebration to discuss and sign her book Hotel Ponce de Leon at Flagler College in St. Augustine.

César Brioso took his new book Havana Hardball to various events and locations. In October, he participated in George Mason University’s Fall for the Book Festival, and had the opportunity to discuss his book at Barnes & Noble in Fairfax, Virginia.

He also presented his book and the story of Cuban baseball to the Bergino Baseball Clubhouse in New York City in November and at Books & Books in Coral Gables in December.

Larry Massey presented his book The Life and Crimes of Railroad Bill at the Covington County Genealogical and Historical Society. The event was held in an old train depot in Seminary, Mississippi—a perfect setting for a talk about the legendary train robber!

Ginny Stibolt took an 11-week book tour for her newest book, The Art of Maintaining a Florida Native LandscapeCheck out her recap on her blog! She kicked off her tour in September with a presentation to the Paynes Prairie chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society.

Peggy Macdonald presented her book Marjorie Harris Carr at the Florida Southern College Florida Lecture Series.

Daniel Harrison talked about his book Making Sense of Marshall Ledbetter at Barnes & Noble in Tallahassee, Florida.

Gene Shinn, author of Bootstrap Geologist, gave a very cool talk at the Orlando Public Library.

The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society  hosted several UPF authors as part of their Friday Lecture Series. Check out their bookstore display, which featured lots of UPF books!
