The UPF marketing team traveled to Tallahassee last weekend to display our books at the 2016 Word of South Festival of Literature and Music! This year marks Word of South’s second annual festival following its inaugural event in 2015.

We had a great time meeting book and music enthusiasts from Tallahassee and across the state, and showcasing and selling our selection of books on Florida history, culture, gardening, photography, art, food, and outdoor adventure that we sold at special discount prices.

Over 500 attendees joined us on this beautiful, sunny weekend in Tallahassee’s Cascades Park. A few UPF authors even stopped by to say hello, including Leslie Poole, author of Saving Florida, who was also a featured speaker at the festival.

We also featured our many Florida Book Award winners, such as this year’s winners:  George Merrick, Son of the South Wind by Arva Moore Parks, Challenge and Change by June Melby Benowitz, and Democracy Abroad, Lynching at Home by Tameka Bradley Hobbs.

Thanks to everyone who came by and visited our booth!
