This month at the University Press of Florida, we decided to reconnect with our artistic sides and the beautiful state we call home.
Inspired by the “otherworldly” colors of Florida sunsets and landscapes in our new book E. G. Barnhill, staff members here at the press tried their hands—and brushes—at some watercolor fun. Our painting session included metallic paints (in honor of Barnhill’s experiments in gold toning and uranium dyes), an abundance of color choices, and fun had by all!
We think Barnhill would have been proud of the creative talents showcased by our very own. Check out the video below to learn a little more about the man himself, E. G. Barnhill, and see our staff in artistic action.
