We had a great time at Word of South in Tallahassee this year! We displayed some of our new and bestselling books in history, gardening, art, literature, cooking, and the outdoors.
Kent Spriggs, author of Voices of Civil Rights Lawyers: Reflections from the Deep South, 1964–1980, was a featured speaker at the festival. He visited with us at our table on Saturday.
Two of the books we brought to Word of South received Florida Book Awards this year:
Norman Van Aken’s Norman Van Aken’s Florida Kitchen won the Florida Book Awards gold medal in the Cooking category.
River and Road: Fort Myers Architecture from Craftsman to Modern by Jared Beck and Pamela Miner received the Florida Book Awards Richard E. Rice Gold Medal for Visual Arts. Jared Beck was also a featured speaker at the event.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello and check out our books!
