Do you have book project or idea?
We invite proposals from new and established scholars working in historical archaeology, and our associate editor Mary Puckett would love to hear from you. Email her at mpuckett@upress.ufl.edu. Hear more about publishing at UPF by watching the informational session highlighted below.
The American Experience in Archaeological Perspective
The American Experience in Archaeological Perspective book series explores events, processes, settings, institutions, and geographic regions that played formative roles in the making of the United States of America as a political, social, and cultural entity. These comprehensive overviews underscore the theoretical, methodological, and substantive contributions that archaeology has made to the study of American history and culture. While these studies focus on historical archaeology in the United States, they are also broadly applicable to historical and anthropological inquiries in other parts of the world.
This spring, we hosted an informational session with the series editors, a contributing author, and UPF editor Mary Puckett. The panelists introduced readers to the series, summarized the series’ goals, and discussed the process of publication with prospective authors.
