We are pleased to present our new titles scheduled to be published between September 2023 and February 2024.

Highlights from the forthcoming season include a visual and narrative celebration of Florida’s wildlife; a behind-the-scenes look at the union that represents Disney’s character performers; and an illustrated anthology of stories of life in Florida by acclaimed writers and scholars, distributed on behalf of Florida Humanities.

We look forward to publishing Halifu Osumare’s memoir of her career as a scholar of global hip-hop and Black culture, a follow-up to her award-winning Dancing in Blackness; a new volume with the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art on the role of women in Asian art history; and an analysis of the temporalities of past, future, and present in Cuban political discourse and culture.

Other new titles examine NASA’s strong ties to the American South; introduce readers to medieval poems that sparked debates on women’s agency, love, marriage, and honor; and provide perspectives from Indigenous scholars who are helping to transform the discipline of archaeology.
